စစ်ရေးအရ အချက်အချာကျတဲ့ ထီးချိုင့်မြို့သိမ်းတိုက်ပွဲ ဒုတိယလှိုင်း ပြန်လည်စတင်

 စစ်ကိုင်းတိုင်းနဲ့ ကချင်ပြည်နယ်အစပ်မှာရှိပြီး စစ်ရေးဗျူဟာအရ အလွန်အရေးပါတဲ့ ထီးချိုင့်မြို့ကို ပြန်လည်ထိန်းချုပ်နိုင်ဖို့အတွက် တော်လှန်ရေးအင်အားစုတွေက ဇန်နဝါရီလ (၂၈) ရက်နေ့၊ မနက် (၅) နာရီဝန်းကျင်လောက်ကစပြီး ထိုးစစ်ဆင်တိုက်ခိုက်မှုတွေ ပြန်လည်စတင်လိုက်ပြီ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

တိုက်ပွဲဖြစ်ပွားရာ နေရာများနှင့် လက်ရှိအခြေအနေ မြေပြင်သတင်းရင်းမြစ်တွေရဲ့ အဆိုအရ တိုက်ပွဲဟာ ထီးချိုင့်တံတားဝန်းကျင်နဲ့ မြို့ပေါ်ရပ်ကွက်တချို့မှာ အဓိက ဖြစ်ပွားနေတာပါ။ "ထီးချိုင့်ပြန်စနေပြီ၊ မနေ့က မနက်အစောပိုင်းကတည်းက တံတားဘက်ကို အဓိကထား တိုက်နေတာ၊ မြို့ထဲနေရာတချို့မှာလည်း ပစ်ခတ်မှုတွေရှိတယ်" လို့ မြို့ခံအမျိုးသားတစ်ဦးက အတည်ပြုပြောကြားပါတယ်။

လက်ရှိအချိန်မှာတော့ လုံခြုံရေးအခြေအနေအရ အင်တာနက်လိုင်းများကို ဖြတ်တောက်ထားပြီး ဒေသခံပြည်သူများမှာ ဘေးလွတ်ရာသို့ ထပ်မံတိမ်းရှောင်နေကြရပါတယ်။ ထီးချိုင့်နဲ့ (၄) ရွာလောက်သာခြားတဲ့ ကသာမြို့နယ်ဘက်ကနေလည်း လက်နက်ကြီးပစ်ခတ်သံတွေကို နေ့ရောညပါ ကြားနေရကြောင်း ဒေသခံတွေက ဆိုပါတယ်။

တစ်ကျော့ပြန် မြို့သိမ်းတိုက်ပွဲ ထီးချိုင့်မြို့ဟာ ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ်၊ နိုဝင်ဘာလအတွင်းက ပထမအကြိမ် မြို့သိမ်းတိုက်ပွဲ ဆင်နွှဲခံခဲ့ရဖူးပါတယ်။ ထိုစဉ်က တော်လှန်ရေးအင်အားစုများဘက်က မြို့နေရာအများစုကို ထိန်းချုပ်နိုင်ခဲ့ပေမယ့် စစ်ကောင်စီရဲ့ လေကြောင်းပစ်ကူများနဲ့ နေအိမ်မီးရှို့ဖျက်ဆီးမှုတွေကြောင့် မြို့လုံးကျွတ်နီးပါး ပျက်စီးခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ ယခုတိုက်ပွဲသည် တစ်နှစ်ကျော်အကြာမှ ပြန်လည်စတင်လာသည့် ဒုတိယလှိုင်း သဘောဆောင်နေပါတယ်။

စစ်ရေးဗျူဟာ အရေးပါမှု ထီးချိုင့်မြို့သည် ကချင်ပြည်နယ်သို့သွားရာ ကုန်းလမ်းကြောင်းများဖြစ်သည့် မန္တလေး-ဗန်းမော်၊ မန္တလေး-မြစ်ကြီးနား လမ်းမကြီးများ ဖြတ်သန်းရာနေရာဖြစ်သလို၊ ဧရာဝတီမြစ်ကြောင်း အသုံးပြုမှုအတွက်လည်း အဓိကကျတဲ့ ဆိပ်ကမ်းမြို့ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒါကြောင့် နှစ်ဖက်တပ်များအတွက် ထောက်ပို့လမ်းကြောင်းအရရော၊ စစ်ရေးအရပါ လက်လွှတ်မခံနိုင်တဲ့ နေရာတစ်ခုဖြစ်ကြောင်း စစ်ရေးလေ့လာသူများက သုံးသပ်နေကြပါတယ်။

Second Wave of Battle for Tigyaing: Strategic Gateway on Sagaing-Kachin Border Under Heavy Fire

Hostilities have resumed in the strategic town of Tigyaing (Htigyaing), located on the border of Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Revolutionary forces launched a renewed offensive around 5:00 AM on January 28th, aiming to reclaim the town from the military council.

Current Ground Situation According to local sources and those close to the revolutionary forces, clashes are concentrated around the Tigyaing Bridge and key downtown areas. A local resident confirmed, " The battle for Tigyaing has restarted. Intense fighting began early in the morning, primarily focused around the bridge, though skirmishes are also reported within the town."

Due to the escalating security situation, internet access in the township has been restricted. Civilians from Tigyaing and nearby villages are once again forced to flee to safety. Residents in neighboring Katha, just a 20-minute motorbike ride away, reported hearing continuous heavy artillery fire throughout the day and night, signaling the intensity of the conflict.

A Strategic Logistics Hub Tigyaing is of immense strategic importance for both sides. It sits astride the critical Mandalay-Bhamo and Mandalay-Myitkyina highways, serving as the gateway to Kachin State. Additionally, it commands a key position along the Mandalay-Sagaing-Bhamo waterway on the Irrawaddy River. Control of this town effectively means control over vital supply lines and logistics routes.

Context of the Conflict This marks the second major attempt to capture the town. In early November 2023, revolutionary forces managed to control significant portions of Tigyaing. However, the military council responded with overwhelming air superiority and a scorched-earth policy, resulting in the destruction of nearly the entire town. After a pause of over a year, during which only sporadic skirmishes occurred, the battle for full control has now reignited.

As the fighting intensifies, the humanitarian crisis deepens, with residents who had been displaced since the first wave of attacks still unable to return, and new waves of IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) now joining them.
